2023–Present — Hosting & Web App Experience With Hostinger
Role: WordPress Developer, Website Manager & Web App Operator
Platform: Hostinger — Shared Hosting, Cloud Startup, hPanel & Managed Web Apps
The Hosting Provider I Kept Using
After earlier experiences with GoDaddy and Namecheap, Hostinger became the hosting platform I was most comfortable continuing to use.
For me, the biggest difference was not only price. It was the overall experience: hPanel felt cleaner, migrations were easier, support was more useful, and the platform kept improving instead of feeling frozen in time.
I have used Hostinger across multiple real websites, client projects and my own systems, including shared hosting plans and the Cloud Startup plan.
Why hPanel Worked Better for Me
My early hosting experience with cPanel felt like opening the cockpit of a Boeing 747. hPanel was different. It presented many of the same hosting responsibilities—domains, websites, email, SSL, backups, databases, files, performance and security—in a much more approachable interface.
What I particularly like is that hPanel has not stayed static. Over the years I have seen Hostinger continue redesigning and improving the experience, adding new tools and making common operations easier.
- Clean website and domain management
- Simple SSL handling
- Easy backup and restore workflows
- Useful file and database management
- Clearer domain and DNS controls
- Good migration experience
- Built-in performance and security tools
- Centralized management for multiple websites
Migrations Became a Normal Task
One of the areas where Hostinger earned my trust was migration.
I have moved websites between providers, hosting accounts and environments, and Hostinger made that process much less painful than my earlier hosting experiences. Their migration tools and support reduced the amount of manual work required, while I still retained the technical knowledge needed to handle DNS, files, databases, SSL and troubleshooting when something did not go perfectly.
Over time, domain transfers and website migrations stopped feeling like dangerous emergency tasks and became normal operational work.
Affordable — But I Do Not Automatically Recommend the Cheapest Plan
Hostinger is affordable, and I particularly like buying or renewing infrastructure when strong seasonal discounts are available. I have personally seen very aggressive Black Friday-style introductory discounts, sometimes around the 70–80% range.
However, cheap does not mean every plan is right for every project.
From my own experience, I would avoid putting an important business website on the absolute lowest shared-hosting tier simply because it is the cheapest option. A small low-risk website may be fine there, but when uptime, traffic, performance or client operations matter, I prefer giving the project more headroom.
My practical approach is:
- Low-risk/simple website: shared hosting can be enough
- Serious business website: use a stronger recommended shared/business plan
- Projects where downtime or resource limits are expensive: consider premium shared, managed cloud or a more appropriate higher-resource environment
- Modern Node.js/web-app workloads: choose a plan that explicitly supports the application runtime and required resources
From WordPress Hosting to Node.js Web Apps
My Hostinger experience eventually expanded beyond WordPress.
I moved to Cloud Startup because I needed infrastructure for modern Node.js web applications in addition to traditional websites. Hostinger has since expanded its managed web-app offering, and Cloud Startup currently supports multiple managed web apps, including Node.js and modern frameworks.
That changed the way I could use one hosting account. Instead of treating hosting as only a place for WordPress installations, I could also deploy modern applications and manage them alongside my other web properties.
- Node.js application hosting
- Next.js and modern JavaScript application deployment
- GitHub-based deployment workflows
- Managed SSL
- Backups
- CDN and security features
- Multiple web applications under the same hosting environment
At the time of writing, Hostinger’s Cloud Startup offering supports up to 10 managed web apps, which makes the plan much more useful for someone operating several small web applications, internal tools or client systems.
Support Matters When Hosting Stops Being Simple
Hostinger is not perfect. I have had moments where something broke, behaved unexpectedly, or left me stuck.
The difference is that I have generally been able to move forward with support instead of feeling abandoned with the problem. That matters when the issue involves production websites, migrations, DNS, SSL, email or infrastructure rather than a simple WordPress setting.
Good hosting is not a promise that nothing will ever go wrong. For me, it is partly about how quickly I can understand the problem, get useful assistance and return the system to a stable state.

From Beginner Hosting Problems to Infrastructure Confidence
My progression across hosting providers is important to me.
I started with GoDaddy barely knowing how hosting worked. Namecheap forced me to become more comfortable with cPanel, SSL, files, databases and troubleshooting. Hostinger became the environment where those skills matured into routine operational work.
Today, I do not think of a website as just the page a visitor sees. I think about the entire environment underneath it: hosting resources, DNS, SSL, backups, security, email, databases, deployments, application runtime and recovery when something fails.
My View After Years of Use
Hostinger is the best overall hosting experience I have personally had so far. It has been affordable enough for smaller projects while also giving me upgrade paths for more serious websites and modern web applications.
It still occasionally frustrates me—every hosting platform does—but the combination of hPanel, migrations, support, pricing, ongoing product development and newer web-app capabilities is why I have continued using it.
